About the data

Do I Need a Visa is an independent guide. It is not affiliated with any government, embassy or visa agency, and it does not sell visas.

Where the answers come from

Requirements come from the open passport-index-dataset (MIT licence), whose data was last updated in January 2025. For the 70 most-searched passports we check every rule against Wikipedia's “Visa requirements for … citizens” articles, which volunteers keep current (last check September 2026); where the article gives a clear, different rule, the page shows it and says what the older dataset listed. Country names, demonyms and regions come from mledoze/countries (ODbL).

Always confirm before you travel

Entry rules change, sometimes overnight, and border officers make the final decision. Before you book or travel, confirm the requirement with the embassy or official government website of your destination, and with your airline.
